Introduction of Taranga

Taranga is a Jain pilgrimage center which located at “Aravalli Girimala” Satlasana Subdistrict Taranga is located 20 km from Vadnagar and Mehsana District. This temple was build in 1121. Taranga tirtha is considered one of the most important Shvetambar Jain temples.

This Temple was built by Chaulukya king Kumarapala.  Also, Sabarmati river is the nearest river from Taranga hill. Taranga hill station(Taranga Temple)  is considered one of the most important Shvetambar Jain temples. Around taranga hill covered with brushwood and forest.

The main temple of Taranga hill was built in 1121. after 12th-century Taranga became an important Jain pilgrimage. Taranga temple was built by Temple was built by Chaulukya king Kumarapala. The Taranga Temple is long, 100 ft broad.

How to reach Taranga

Taranga is located in Mehasana distric. when ever you enterd Mehsana distric you can take vadanagar ambaji highway and when if you reach Kheralu village and then drive 20 Km from timba village and then take a right form Taranga road and you can reach Taranga.

Tirthkar Van Taranga

Tirthkar van is one of the best places in Taranga hill station. Tirthkar van is park was build by Forest department of Gujarat in 13th July 2006. And this park built when Narendra Modi was CM in Gujarat.

In this park, you can see flower plants, Some big trees and different type of trees. Also in this park developed children playing area. A Tirthkar van is handled and managed by the department of forest, Gujarat state. Also, you can see some wild animal in this park sometimes.

Food Facility in Taranga

If you want to take a lunch and dinner at Taranga then Jain Bhojanshala Bhavan provide food Facility. but in this Bhavan, you can only it Jain thali. you can not outside food not eat non-veg in this Bhavan.

first, you can take a food thicket and approx you can spend 60 rupees for per plat. and food quality and food test are so good. if you visited Taranga then I recommended you must eat lunch from Jain Bhojanshala Bhavan.

The Taranga temple is very nice places for one day trip. if you like Jain temples then this Jain temple is one of the famous Jain Temple in India.

The nearest Hotel from Taranga is Sahyog Hotel and Its 5 Km away from Taranga.  And the nearest places from Taranga is Dharoi Dam. and Ambaji The Shakti peeth Temple.
