Mysore is one of my favorite place in south India. when I travel to South India it’s my first choice to go in Mysore India. Mysore is also known as “City of Palace”  Mysore is also Famous for his majestic Mysore Palace, and Dussehra Festival is a famous festival in Mysore.  Also if you plan your trip in summer vacation then it’s the best time to travel in this city. Because this time climate is pretty cool.

How to reach Mysore

Well, you can reach Mysore by Three options, First, you can reach Mysore by Air, you can take flights to Mysore from all over Indian airports and International airports. The second one is you can reach Mysore By train and the Third one is you can reach Mysore by Road.

1) Mysore Palace

Mysore palace is located in Sayyaji Rao Road, Mysore, Karnataka. This palace is also known as Ambavilas Palace. Mysore palace is the official residence of Wadiyar dynasty. This palace was built in the Indo-Saracenic style and Government of Karnataka is current tenants of the Mysore palace. In 1897 Mysore palace construction was started and in 1912 construction completed this palace. And Maharani Pramoda Devi Wadiyar is the owner of the Mysore palace. This palace is looking so pretty and all room are in this palace is very cool and historical. also around the garden in this palace is very nice.

5) Brindavan Gardens

Brindavan Gardens is located at KRS Dam Road, Mysore. This Garden is operated by Cauvery Niravari Nigama. This Garden was completed in 1932. The attraction of this garden is Fountains. In this garden, there are many fountains exist and this all fountains are looking pretty at after sunset. So I recommended If you haveshownw the fountains then you must go after sunset.

6) Mysore Zoo

Mysore zoo is most attraction traveler point in Mysore. This Zoo was set up by G.H. Krumbiegel. Mysore zoo is most popular and one of the oldest zoo in India. In this zoo you Bangal Tiger is popular. Also, you can see an animal like elephant and birds in this park. This park is 100 years old. After 1972, this zoo was handed over to the Forest Department.

7) Chamundi Hills

This place is located 13 away from Mysore. Chamundeshwari Temple has existed on the top of this hill.Chamundeshwari temple built in quadrangular structure style. On Dusshera festival many visitors have come to Chamundi hills for visit this temple.

8) Mysore Railway Museum

The Mysore Railway Museum is located on KRS Road, Opp. CFTRI, Medar Block, Mysore. In this museum shows an outdoor exhibit of vintage locomotives. In 1979, The Indian Railways established The Railway Museum was established. Also in this museum, you can see many old train model like The ticket counter, Model of locomotive and much more things are relevent to Indian railways.

9) St Philomena’s Church

St Philomena’s Church is located in Lourdes Nagar, Ashoka Road. This church was build in Gothic Revival architecture Style. And the full name of this church is Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Philomena. St Philomena Church is one of the tallest churches in Asia. This church design was inspired by Gurmen architecture design.

10) Ranganathittu bird sanctuary

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is located in Ranganathittu Road, District Mandya. In this bird Sanctuary all over Asia many birds are come and stay. This bird Sanctuary is also known as Pakshi Kashi of Karnataka. When winter starts in India then  40,000 birds congregate in this bird sanctuary. Mysore is19 Km away from this bird Sanctuary.
